TOEIC Part 5 vocabulary practice should require more than a workplace topic match. ETS identifies Part 5 of TOEIC Listening and Reading as Incomplete Sentences. In each original item below, one answer fits the grammar, collocation, and intended meaning. These are independent exercises, not recalled test questions.
Complete all twenty before reading the explanations. This is the answer-bank companion to Lyra Practice's TOEIC Part 5 vocabulary and collocations guide: the guide teaches the decision patterns, while this page supplies new incomplete sentences. Continue in the TOEIC vocabulary practice hub.

Mixed reasoning check
Compare items 11 and 12. A provisional arrangement can already operate while awaiting confirmation; a tentative proposal is not yet firm. Compare 14 and 15: the context—not the noun impact—determines whether the effect is negligible or substantial.
For each error, record three clues in a review table: required word class, complete collocation, and context signal. Then use TOEIC Part 5 vocabulary and collocations to practice the same decision without relying on these answer positions.
